Castel di Salve and the wine cellars of Salento

In the cellars of Castel di Salve, right in the very heart of Salento, two childhood friends made a solemn oath: that one day, together, they would cultivate the area’s Primitivo, Nero Leccese and Malvasia Nera grapes and use them to produce some  of Italy’s finest wines – wines like the Aleatico Passito, Priante and Lama del Tenente. And, some years later, this is exactly what they did.
