The Gardens of Castle Trauttmansdorff in Merano

Trauttmansdorff Gardens - Trentino

In Merano, Trentino Alto Adige, the gardens of an ancient castle where the Austrian Empress ‘Sissi’ frequently sought refuge have been transformed in living botanical encyclopedia complete with interactive stations and artist pavilions. Castle Trauttmansdorff Gardens feature some eighty different garden landscapes divided in four areas: the Forests of the World, the Sun Gardens, the Water and Terraced Gardens, and the Landscapes of South Tirol.
